Luke gave a video tour of his new bedroom for you earlier today. He really doesn’t have any problem getting into his bed – he was just being silly there.

Luke wanted to draw this morning so I thought I’d show him MS Paint. This was his very first attempt at computer graphics! He does actually do very good with the trackpad.
Snowmen, Homemade Pizza, and Late Night Walks

We were able to make a small snowman this weekend. Only the top layer of snow was sticky enough so it was a small guy.
Luke decided it was time he learned how to use the digital camera. Here are the first pictures he took all by himself!
Here we decided to make homemade pizza, and for some reason there were a lot of pictures of this taken. I’m not sure if Luke is a better photographer or pizza maker. He did pretty good at both of them!
And here we went for a late night walk. It looks like a late night walk at least, but it is January in Minnesota….
This was our meal before the late night walk.
And finally a video of the pizza maker. I’ve uploaded this one to YouTube instead of the usual Vimeo. Some users have had issues with Vimeo being slow. Let me know how this YouTube video compares to the normal performance of the Vimeo videos.
Luke is moving into a new bedroom!

With baby “Batman” (Luke’s chosen name for the baby) on the way we’ve moved Luke into a new bedroom with a new bed. He has been very excited for this move for a while and it finally happened yesterday.
Ok so the first one has nothing to do with a new bedroom, but it was leftover on the camera from a couple weeks ago. He wanted to try on some of my winter biking gear.
Again not much to do with the new bedroom. Here he didn’t want to eat until we could spell his name. If you look very close you might notice we had to spell his name LUXE.
In this one we had his room set up before the bed arrived. I showed him where the bed would go so he thought he needed to use me as a temporary bed to see if he’d like it there.
And finally the real thing. This is really him getting ready to go to sleep in the new bed for the very first time.

He was very excited to sleep in the new room & bed. This morning he told me that he likes the new setup! Stop by and check it out sometime soon!
Bike sledding

I love biking. Luke loves sledding. It is almost a natural fit. It took some work to get this set up so that I didn’t end up with slack rope getting sucked in by my rear wheel, but I got it working pretty well. Luke loved riding back there and it was fun driving too!
Moving to Las Vegas

We spent a long weekend in Las Vegas this past weekend. I went from palm trees by the pool and poker chips to below zero degrees and a snow shovel in less than 24 hours. I’m pretty sure I am ready to move to Las Vegas.
Luke got in a fight with the kitchen table

Saturday evening Luke got into a fight with the kitchen table. Unfortunately for Luke the kitchen table is pretty tough. He are the results:
These first pictures were actually taken Sunday morning – so it had some time to go down.
The next two were just taken earlier this evening. My favorite is his mean pose – I hope you can tell which it is.
I think it looks a little worse in real life than the pictures show – I don’t know why. He is just fine now though. He did tell one of his teachers that he got it because I kicked a soccer ball into his eye. It really was the table though. He tripped on our rug and fell into the table while carrying puzzle pieces to the table. We were going to put together a soccer ball puzzle.
Luke's alphabet

This morning we decided to make our own computer game. This is just the first hour of work. It is a Java applet so it might ask you to install a plugin to run Java in your browser.
So far all it does is read the letters back to you that you type. They have to be lowercase letters – that will get fixed later. Before it will work you have to click on the blue box after it loads. It may take a minute the first time you load it.
